We are an Ofsted ‘Outstanding’ provider working with over 50 partner schools across the wider Hampshire region. We have an established, successful school-centred training programme that is underpinned by four key principles; evidence-informed, personalised, coherent and high quality.

We offer a one-year programme designed to enable trainee teachers to gain Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in addition to the academic award, Post Graduate Certificate in Education (PGCE). The training programme combines school experience with Professional Studies and Subject Knowledge development. We believe this blended approach of school-based learning and academic study gives trainee teachers the ‘best of both worlds’; the opportunity to link theory and practice, thus developing reflective practitioners. Our trainees are successful at gaining employment as an early career teacher.

Trainees can expect a high quality training programme, outstanding class teacher mentoring and excellent personalised support from expert practitioners in two school placements. They will receive intensive training in the areas of behaviour management, early reading and SEND.

Our programme and curriculum sequence are designed to support trainee teachers’ understanding of high quality teaching and learning and the relationship between theory and practice and research and evidence. Our programme equips trainee teachers to meet the needs of children and to have excellent skills in behaviour management. We aim to inspire trainee teachers to reach the highest standards of educational practice so that they can enable children in their classes to be successful lifelong learners.
